1) I Love You was a band that formed in Hollywood, CA in 1988 from the ashes of Florida punk-metal gods, Sinful Pigeons. Original members were Jeff Nolan, Chris Palmer, Aaron Rubin, and Elliott Crawford. After recording a version of Elvis’ “Burnin’ Love” for the SST compilation The Melting Plot, Phil Newman of Painted Willie and Sin 34 fame joined the band as bass player. That lineup performed many Hollywood/Los Angeles shows and completed two U.S. tours. Hollywood stomping grounds in the early days were Raji’s, The Anti-Club, The Coconut Teaszer, The Gaslight, and The Whiskey. During that time, Christina Applegate pulled a few strings and secured I Love You a spot in Married With Children history by choosing their song “Insurrection” as the background music for her ‘sleep-over episode’ in MWC’s second season.
In 1989, I Love You released ILY LIVE, a 5 song EP, which included a cover version of Cream’s “SWLABR”, on Medusa/Enigma Records. The EP was co-Produced by Daniel Rey (Ramones, L7). A video followed for the song “Steppin’ On Baby”.
After a heated bidding war, I Love You signed with Geffen Records in the summer of 1990. To celebrate, they toured with 7Seconds for 2 months to prepare for their upcoming sophomore Geffen release with new drummer Tom Sweet and bassist Mike Kossler fully on board. After a fast and furious recording session in Sausalito, CA, with Engineer and co-Producer Geoff Workman (Warrior Soul, Queen), ILY released I Love You, their self-titled, first LP, in Spring of 1991. A video followed for the song “Hang Straight Up”, which was featured on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball several times. Geffen released two singles from the album, “Hang Straight Up” and “2”, and a special, limited edition purple vinyl promo single for “She’s The One”. For the next 2 years ILY toured often, playing shows with Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Flaming Lips, Afghan Whigs, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, Masters Of Reality, Faith No More, Nirvana, NRBQ, Kyuss, King’s X, Butthole Surfers, L7, Social Distortion, Smashing Pumpkins, Soul Asylum, R.E.M. and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name a few.
In 1993, I Love You hooked up with co-Producer Chris Goss (QOTSA, Kyuss) and recorded their final Geffen album, All Of Us, in Los Angeles. The album was released in Spring, 1994. Geffen released “Want Something” as the single, but the band thought “All Of Us” was a better choice and produced their own home video, directed by San Francisco artist and long time friend, William Latham. After a short tour and a working vacation in Tahiti, I Love You broke up in the summer of 1995. Official website.

Many know Robin Roberts as the co-host of Good Morning America. Millions hear her voice and see her face every day. She even got to eat with the Queen of England at the White house once. Many may not know about Robin Roberts, the sports star in college or former broadcaster for ESPN, however. Many also may not know about Robin Roberts, the dedicated Christian, whose faith impacts her life on a daily basis.

Before she became a broadcaster for ESPN and ABC, Robin Roberts played basketball in college for Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana, graduating cum laude with a degree in communications. She was the third leading scorer for the school, with 1,446 points. She also garnered 1,034 rebounds. She had decided against going to LSU.

Before becoming a broadcaster on ESPN and ABC, Roberts was a sports reporter and reporter for several television stations in Southern states. She became a broadcaster for ESPN in 1990 and became a reporter for Good Morning America in 1995. She continued to work for both networks for years before becoming co-anchor for Good Morning America in 2005.

While not everyone gets to eat with the Queen, Robin Roberts felt her life personally affected by one story she had to cover-Hurricane Katrina. The homes of three family members were virtually destroyed. The area struck by the hurricane had once been her home. She started to keep a journal when covering the story. Everything that happened reminded her of what was most important to her-her Christian faith. She felt she needed to turn to her faith after viewing the tragic events caused by the hurricane.

She said she had once blocked loved ones out after being so involved with her career. Roberts said without family, everything is meaningless.

Robin Roberts attributes her success in life and as a journalist to her parents and the faith values they installed in her. She said although all of her mother's children are what people would consider a success in life, her mother's greatest joy is knowing her children have not turned from their faith.

Being a Christian in such a public job has not always been easy for Robin Roberts. She says she does not want to push her faith on anyone, but she does not want to hide from it either. She remembers when one story was done about how different people start the day. She said the portion about her tells how she says a prayer to God every day for protection. Roberts did not expect the story about her faith to be on television, but it was, and the producer said it was aired, because it was authentic.

Robin Roberts, who has had a lot of success in life, just wants people to think of her as a simple child of God. To that end, she has written a book, From the Heart. This year Roberts has had her faith tested, as she has had surgery after learning she had breast cancer.

Early life of Kaifi Azmi
Kaifi Azmi was born as Akhtar Hussain Rizvi into a family of landlords in the small town of Mejwaan, in the district of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Syed Fateh Hussain Rizvi, though a landlord, took up employment first in a small native state called Balharah as a tahsildar and later, he worked in other areas of Uttar Pradesh. He decided to send his sons to schools imparting modern education, including English, against the stiff opposition of his relatives. However, Azmi could not get this opportunity because his elders wanted him to become a theologian. He was admitted to Sultan-ul-Madaris, a reputed seminary in Lucknow. However, his nonconformist nature created many problems for the authorities of the seminary. He formed a Students’ Union and asked all the students to go on strike to get their demands fulfilled. The strike continued for a year and a half. Though the strike was called off, he was expelled from the seminary. This was the end of his elder’s dream of training him to become a theologian. Azmi could not seek modern education but he passed various examinations in Lucknow and of Allahabad universities that helped him acquire command over Arabic, Persian and Urdu.

During this period, the leading progressive writers of Lucknow noticed him. They were very impressed by his leadership qualities. They also saw in him a budding poet and extended all possible encouragement towards him. Consequently, Azmi began to win great acclaim as a poet. His initiation into poetry was even more interesting. At the age of eleven, he somehow managed to get himself invited to a Mushaira and over there, he recited a ghazal, rather a couplet of the ghazal which was very much appreciated by the President of the Mushaira, Mani Jaisi, but most of the people, including his father, thought he recited his elder brother’s ghazal. When his elder brother denied it, his father and his clerk decided to test his poetic talent. They gave him one of the lines of a couplet and asked him to write a ghazal in the same meter and rhyme. Azmi accepted the challenge and within no time, he completed a ghazal.

This particular ghazal was to become a rage in undivided India and it was sung by none other than the legendary ghazal singer, Begum Akhtar. He, however, abandoned his studies of Persian and Urdu during the Quit India agitations in 1942 and shortly thereafter became a full time Marxist when he accepted membership of the Communist Party of India in 1943. At the age of 24, he joined the Communist Party and started activities in the textile mill areas of Kanpur. As a full time worker, he left his life of comfort, though he was the son of a zamindaar. He was asked to shift his base to Bombay, work amongst the workers and start party work with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm and at the same time would attend Mushairas in different parts of India. In 1947, he reached Hyderabad to participate in a Mushaira. There he met a beautiful woman named Shaukat, the two fell in love and were married. Shaukat Kaifi later became a renowned actress in theatre and films. They had two children together. They are Shabana Azmi (b. 1950), a renowned actress of Indian cinema and Baba Azmi, a film cameraman.

"That's the last two or three years of my life, with a bit of childhood thrown in," says Dan Keyes, frontman and musical tour de force behind Young Love. Not only does that word collage work as a history of the group, but it also serves as a good primer on the band's sound, which can only be described as "now, but different."

Strange but true: You may have heard these songs before. A couple of the tracks, only available on the Internet, have filtered out into NYC's clubs over the past few months. Stranger: if you really know Keyes, you may be surprised it's him behind these songs.

It was only two years ago when the multi-talented musician was a member of Recover, a buzzworthy young band from Austin, Texas. Their melodic post-punk sound landed the group a major label deal, a dedicated nationwide fan base and much critical acclaim. But Keyes had other things (or, actually, other songs) on his mind.

"I love those guys, and I'm still close with them, but I was at a creative crossroads," remembers Keyes. "I knew I had to change something about my life."

Fate intervened. During a birthday party, a New York friend of Keyes made the musician an offer he couldn't refuse. "He said, 'I have a room free up here. Be here in a week and a half.' And I had always wanted to move to New York, even as a kid."

So Keyes left a town full of great musicians and good friends to move to a strange and wonderful new place … to bus tables. "I moved up here with one bag and my guitar," he says. "And I mean that literally." Fortunately, his bag contained a few demos and rough sketches for songs, which would eventually serve him well.

While doing time at a high-end midtown restaurant ("Catering to rich white people that spoke to me like I didn't know English"), Keyes started thinking more about those unfinished songs. They were good songs, but they hadn't fit in with any of his previous bands. They were danceable, unpredictable, catchy and even thematic. They were, in essence, the origins of what would become Young Love.

"That band name actually hit me years ago," he says. "I knew if I had another band, it would be called Young Love. It's not two words just randomly thrown together. The name is an idea, and all of my songs reflect that."

Guitars, while present on Young Love's debut, are merely a side note in the band's sound. "And that's the funny thing," says Keyes. "I wrote these all on an acoustic guitar; some of them even sound like country.

But once Keyes hit the studio, things changed as he and his bandmates started tinkering with the songs. "Discotech", the infectious first single that's already requested in NYC night clubs, is now sonically more in tune with its name, featuring a dance beat - squealing guitar combo that fits comfortably into the New York underground … while never emulating it. And the propulsive "Find a New Way" is Keyes, as he puts it, "trippin' out on a Microkorg keyboard."

"That was written a couple of years ago," admits Keyes. "I had just turned 21, and I was going out to bars and clubs, and realizing how much fun it is. Actually, a lot of these songs are just about nightlife, and the other half are about love. It all sounds really positive, even if you really listen to the lyrics and see that it's not always the case."

Meanwhile, "Tragedy" shows off a darker side, with the guitars a little noisier and the mood stark. "That song is too crazy to even describe," says Keyes

Keyes, who is currently assembling a band to tour with this summer, ultimately sees Young Love as a culmination of hard work, taking chances and allowing himself the chance to write the music that's been knocking around his head for years.

"This record has been a long time coming," says Keyes, "These songs have existed with me for so long. I'm excited to get them out there. And I hope people get excited by them: I feel like I'm just the instrument to give the songs to everyone."

A considerable age difference, with William Shakespeare still under the age of consent (21). It is apparent that Anne Hathaway became pregnant prior to marriage which would have no doubt caused a scandal for both of the families. Not an auspicious start for a marriage or a perfect choice of a wife for the son of an ambitious family. William Shakespeare's father John, in particular, would not have been pleased at the detrimental effect that the gossip would have had on his own social standing in Stratford. A hasty affair would have been arranged.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE WEDDING
From the will of her late father it seems that Anne Hathaway brought a dowry to the marriage. A dowry was an amount of money, goods, and property that the bride would bring to the marriage. It was also referred to as her marriage portion. The arrangements for the wedding of Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare would have been with the local church. Weddings were always a religious ceremony, conducted by a minister. There were no Registry Office marriages or marriages conducted by a Justice of the Peace. The first stage was Crying the Banns, announcing a couples intention to marry. The same procedure still applies to Church marriages in England today. The intention to marry must be announced in the church three times on three consecutive Sundays or holy days. This allows time for any objections to be raised or pre-contracts to be discovered. Any marriage not published before hand was considered clandestine and illegal. An alternative, faster, route to legalising a ceremony required a marriage bond which acted as security and proof to a bishop that the issue of a marriage licence was lawful with a sworn statement that there were no pre-contracts. The existence of such a marriage bond would require only one reading of the Banns, thus speeding the marriage process.
